Sprouts: Weighing In…

The mud kitchen was the place to be today! The boys had a blast using the new scale—two buckets to compare which is heavier—as well as a kitchen scale to weigh various items. Dirt, water, stones, and mud all made their way onto the scales.

After hearing about the Wildflowers girls' worm hunt, the boys wanted to try it too. Not only did they measure the worms, but they also weighed them on the scale!

We gathered around the fire and learned about fire safety, focusing on what’s needed for a fire to start. While we ate by the fire, I read "Diary of a Worm", a funny book about the daily life of a worm and his humorous adventures underground.

I was especially proud of the cooperation and sharing I saw today. The boys were genuinely interested in each other’s creations and journals, making it a fantastic day of learning and teamwork.
